Scuba Diving on Isla del Caño

Join us to explore the depths of the Costa Rican reserve of the Isla del Caño with this scuba diving activity, featuring two dives to admire local flora and fauna.

Activity Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at calle hacia los Planes. After safety instructions, we'll set sail from Drake Bay to the Isla del Caño, a premier diving destination, with a sailing time of 40 minutes.

Upon arrival, we'll prepare for our first dive with full diving gear for about 45 minutes, exploring the island's marine life. After this dive, we'll return to the boat and head to the beach of Isla del Caño for a rest before the next dive.

For the second dive, we’ll continue our underwater exploration for another 45 minutes in this Biological Reserve. We may spot various marine species, including parrot and surgeon fish, jacks, ojaranes, white tip reef sharks, turtles, snappers, and potentially manta rays depending on the season.

We’ll conclude the day with a picnic lunch at San Josecito beach before returning to Drake Bay, wrapping up 7.5 hours of activity.
