Sighi?oara, the birthplace of Count Dracula, is a notable town in the Transylvania region. This guided tour will explore its history and legends.

Tour Details

Vlad Tepes, known as Vlad III, is a significant historical figure associated with numerous legends. We will investigate these myths as we delve into the life of this medieval ruler and his town.

The tour begins at the Clock Tower Museum, which stands at 64 meters tall and is the most prominent of the nine defensive towers still intact in the city's fortress. This site is recognized as one of the best-preserved medieval citadels in Europe.

We will then proceed through Sighi?oara’s historic center to visit the old church that sits atop a hill, renowned for its Gothic architectural style and offering impressive views of the city.

While walking through the cobbled streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will share intriguing facts and stories about the town, including details about Vlad Tepes and his connection to Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula. We will also see the house where he was born, exploring the regional vampire legends.

After two hours of exploration, the tour will conclude near the starting point.
