Habarana Excursion

At 10 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Sigiriya and travel to the town of Habarana, which is about half an hour away.

Upon arrival, we'll switch from a tuk tuk to an ox-drawn cart to reach the shores of Habarana Lake. After disembarking, we'll board a boat for a ride across the lake.

After the boat ride, we'll visit rice fields to observe the cultivation of this essential cereal grain. Strolling through the rice fields is an engaging experience.

We'll then return to the center of Habarana to meet a local family who will guide us in preparing some of their traditional recipes. Following the cooking class, we'll enjoy a delicious buffet lunch featuring rice, curry, fish, salad, and papadam.

At the conclusion of the excursion, we'll return you to your hotel in Sigiriya, with an expected arrival time of 1:30 pm.
