Activity Details
At 8:30 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Sigiriya and head east towards Polonnaruwa, approximately an hour and fifteen minutes away. Polonnaruwa served as one of the capitals of Sri Lanka and was the seat of the Sinhalese kings for two centuries. The tour includes visits to its ancient ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which features the famous Quadrangle, the Vatadage, the stone-carved inscription of Gal Pota, the Buddhist temple of Thuparama Gedige, and the Gal Vihara Buddha sculpture.
After lunch at a local restaurant, we will proceed to Habarana, situated near Minneriya National Park. Prepare for the safari as we enter Minneriya National Park and explore the natural environment in search of wildlife. This is an opportunity to see wild elephants up close in their natural habitat.
After a duration of 3 hours on the safari, we will return to your hotel in Sigiriya, arriving at 6:30 pm.
