Activity Details

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Sigiriya at the indicated time and head out on the short drive to the Minneriya National Park.

Having bought our entrance tickets for the nature reserve, we'll begin our 3-hour journey by 4x4 through the park in search of its most famous inhabitants: Asian elephants. Are you ready for an incredible safari?

Minneriya is a protected natural area in which many of Sri Lanka's diverse native species of animals live, but the true stars of this national park are undoubtedly the elephants. As soon as we enter the reserve, you'll start to see the first of these gentle giants.

This is a unique opportunity to see large groups of elephants in their natural habitat. Watch how they interact with each other as we get unbelievably close to them! We'll also see any number of other creatures in the national park, like water buffalos, deer, and even crocodiles.

At the end of the safari, you'll be dropped back off at your hotel 5 hours later.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You will embark on a private 4x4 safari through Minneriya National Park. A guide will share information about the wildlife and the ecosystem during the tour. The safari lasts approximately 3 hours, providing ample time to explore the park and observe the animals.
