Details of the Activity
Our adventure begins at 8:30 am, when we will collect you from your hotel in Sigiriya. Following that, we will make our way east to Polonnaruwa, a journey of approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
Once in Polonnaruwa, an important former capital, we will explore its ancient sites, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights of our visit will include the renowned Quadrangle, the remarkable Vatadage, the significant Gal Pota stone inscription, and the quaint Buddhist shrine known as Thuparama Gedige, along with the impressive Gal Vihara Buddha sculpture.
After our cultural exploration, we will pause at a local restaurant for lunch before continuing our journey to Habarana, a picturesque area surrounded by verdant landscapes, located near Minneriya National Park.
Are you ready for an exciting safari? We will venture into Minneriya National Park and immerse ourselves in this stunning natural setting, searching for indigenous wildlife. Have you ever been within meters of a wild elephant? Now is your chance to witness these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
After spending 3 hours in the park, we'll head back to your hotel in Sigiriya, where we expect to arrive by 6:30 pm.
