Activity Details
At 8:30 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Sigiriya and head east towards Polonnaruwa, approximately an hour and fifteen minutes away.
Polonnaruwa was one of the capitals of Sri Lanka and the seat of the Sinhalese kings for two centuries. The tour includes the ancient ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights include the Quadrangle, Vatadage, the stone-carved inscription of Gal Pota, the small Buddhist temple of Thuparama Gedige, and the Gal Vihara Buddha sculpture.
After lunch at a restaurant, we will proceed to Habarana, near Minneriya National Park, our next destination.
We will enter Minneriya National Park and explore the area in search of native wildlife, including the opportunity to see wild elephants up close.
After 3 hours of the safari experience, we'll return to your hotel in Sigiriya, arriving at 6:30 pm.
