Activity Details
On the day of your tour, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Sigiriya. We will then set off on a two-hour minibus journey to the park.
Upon arrival, we'll purchase our entrance tickets and switch to a 4x4 with a convertible roof for our safari.
Wilpattu National Park is the largest nature reserve on the island, home to many native species. During the tour, we may see elephants, jackals, deer, wild boar, and possibly a leopard.
Wilpattu means "land of lakes." In addition to mammals, the park hosts a wide variety of water birds and reptiles, including crocodiles and various species of snakes.
After our 7-hour safari, we will return to the park's entrance for our minibus ride back to hotels in Sigiriya, concluding the tour approximately 11 hours after it started.
Entrance to Wilpattu National Park
The entrance to the national park is not included in the tour price. Payment is required at the park entrance ticket offices on the day of the activity, costing 45USD per person.
