Activity Details
On the day of your tour, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Sigiriya. From there, we'll set off on the two-hour minibus journey to reach our destination.
Arriving at the park, we'll purchase our entrance tickets and swap vehicles, climbing into a 4x4 with a convertible roof: the ideal vehicle to immerse ourselves in nature and spot animals on our safari in complete safety!
Wilpattu National Park is the largest nature reserve on the island, hosting many native species of animals that will leave you in awe. During the tour, we expect to see elephants, jackals, deer, wild boar, and if we're lucky, one of Sri Lanka's most fascinating creatures, the leopard.
Did you know that Wilpattu means "land of lakes"? Alongside numerous majestic mammals, the park is home to a wide variety of water birds and reptiles, including crocodiles and various species of snakes.
After our 7-hour safari, we'll return to the park's entrance, where our minibus will be waiting to take us back to hotels in Sigiriya. The tour concludes approximately 11 hours after departure.
How Does It Work?
We will pick you up from your hotel in Sigiriya and transport you to Wilpattu National Park in a minibus. Upon arrival, you'll get into a 4x4 vehicle designed for safaris, ensuring a safe and immersive experience in nature.
The tour involves a 7-hour safari, where you'll have the opportunity to see a variety of animals and bird species. After the safari, we’ll drive back to your hotel in Sigiriya.
