Andean Condor Watching + Puracé National Park Tour
We will pick you up at your hotel in Silvia at 6:40 am and travel to the Puracé National Natural Park, with a bus ride of approximately two and a half hours.
Upon arrival at over 3400 metres (11155 feet) above sea level, we will participate in a bird-watching activity, focusing on the Andean condor, one of the largest flying birds in the world, and learn about this endangered species.
After an hour of observing the condor, we will explore the landscapes of Puracé National Park, including the valley of frailejones, home to 90 varieties of this native plant.
Next, we will visit the waterfall of the Bedón river, the Andulbio lagoon, and the wishing well, with time to take photos of the crystal clear waters of these natural sites.
We will also relax at the thermal baths of San Juan, featuring pools and rivers of hot water with interesting colors like grey, turquoise, pink, and green.
Before returning to Silvia, we will have a lunch with options of fish, grilled meat, or chicken, served with rice, salad, or 'patacones' (twice-fried plantain chips) and a drink.
Once refreshed, we will return to the bus and conclude the activity, dropping you off at your hotel.
