Silvia Moorland Hike

Enjoy the typical landscapes of the Colombian department of Cauca on this hiking route through the Silvia moorland. We'll see high mountains and even participate in an ancestral rite!

Silvia Moorland Hike

At 7 am, we'll meet at Parque Principal, the main park of Silvia, to start a hike that will take us to discover the beautiful landscapes of the surroundings of this town.

When booking, you can choose a 4 or 9-hour hiking tour. Whichever hike you choose, we'll have time to explore the local flora and fauna and capture photos of the wilderness of the Silvia moorland.

During the hike, we'll walk along an ancestral trail that once connected the Colombian departments of Cauca and Huila. We'll encounter small springs and frailejones, a typical shrub of the area, known for its slow growth, which can take up to 100 years to reach a height of 2 meters.

If you choose the 9-hour route, we'll participate in a ritual of the Misak tribe where we'll make an offering to Mother Earth.

We'll conclude our hiking route through the Silvia moorlands at 11 am or 4 pm, depending on the duration selected.
