Tour of Local Markets + Trip to an Indigenous Community

We'll meet at 8 am at Silvia's main park to start our tour.

First, we will visit a centrally located farmer's market for an hour, exploring stalls filled with local products and sampling treats like fruit and bread. Next, we'll head to a handicraft market offering jewelry, embroidery, hats, and various souvenirs.

After shopping, we will board a minibus to an orchard cultivated by the Misak people. Here, we will learn about their customs and traditions as local villagers demonstrate their agricultural practices and invite us into one of their homes to share insights into the Misak lifestyle.

Our next stop is the Casa Payán Cultural Center, where we will discuss the significance of plants in Misak culture and explore their use in medicinal treatments. Participants will have the opportunity to try a locally-made traditional drink.

Finally, we will proceed to Belen hill, offering panoramic views of Silvia. The tour will conclude between 2 and 3 pm back at the starting point.
