Huariaca & Conoc Excursion + Casa de la Moneda
We'll pick you up at 9 am at your accommodation and set off to the town of Huariaca, about an hour and a half drive from Cerro de Pasco.
Huariaca has a rich history, with evidence of human habitation dating back thousands of years, including numerous cave paintings. The tour includes a visit to Plaza de Armas and its main streets, highlighting the city's pre-Inca heritage.
Next, we'll visit the town of Conoc and its thermal baths, known for their therapeutic properties, located along the Tingo River.
We'll also explore the ruins of the Conoc mining complex, where silver deposits were discovered during colonial times in the hills of Yauricocha and Colquijirca.
Then, we'll return to Huariaca to visit a trout farm and the thermal baths of Catalina Huanca, followed by a visit to Casa de la Moneda in the town of Quinua, where some of the first coins of the Republic of Peru were minted.
Finally, we'll return to Cerro de Pasco and drop you off at your accommodation at 3 pm.
