Enjoy a day immersed in nature with this hiking route in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park with an English speaking guide.
Hiking in the Sintra Natural Park
The tour meets at the Sintra train station at 9 am, where participants will board a minibus to the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. This area, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995, features dense vegetation and beautiful landscapes.
The hiking route covers five kilometers and lasts approximately two hours, during which we will make stops to discuss the flora, which includes oaks, maples, and eucalyptus trees; the region is noted for its steep cliffs.
A stop will be made at the Cresmina Dunes, recognized for their unique formations and also protected by UNESCO, and the Cabo Raso lighthouse, operational since the late 19th century. The minibus will then travel along the coastal road to Guincho beach, a popular surfing destination.
The excursion concludes around 1 pm back at the Sintra train station.
