Enjoy a day immersed in nature with this hiking route in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park guided in English, exploring an area historically known as 'the end of the world'.
Hiking in the Sintra Natural Park
The tour begins at the Sintra train station at 9 am, where participants will take a minibus to the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. This natural park, recognized for its landscapes and greenery, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995, being the first in Europe.
The hiking route covers five kilometers and lasts about two hours, with stops to explain the landscape featuring oaks, maples, and eucalyptus trees. The terrain includes steep cliffs.
A stop will be made at the Cresmina Dunes, a protected area recognized by UNESCO, and at the Cabo Raso lighthouse, operational since the late 19th century. The excursion continues with a minibus tour along the coastal road to Guincho beach, known for surfing.
The tour concludes at the Sintra train station, around 1 pm.
