National Palace of Queluz + Gardens
The National Palace of Queluz is located in Sintra, built in Baroque style by Peter III. After his marriage to Princess Mary, it became a royal palace. The architect Jean-Baptiste Robillion remodeled it to resemble the Palace of Versailles. Queluz served as the center of the Portuguese court for centuries, hosting soirees and balls, and is currently a residence for visiting foreign heads of State.
The palace gardens feature fountains and mythological sculptures, exemplifying landscape harmony. They house the School of Equestrian Art, which received the European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage in 2018.
With this ticket, you can visit the Throne Room, Music Room, Ambassadors Room, and royal chambers.
