Palace of Monserrate Ticket

This ticket grants access to the exotic Palace of Monserrate and its renowned English landscape-style garden, noted as one of the most beautiful in Portugal. Built in the 19th century over the site of the hermitage of Nossa Senhora de Monserrate by English nobleman Francis Cook, the palace combines Gothic, Oriental, and Mozarabic elements. It became a social center for the 19th-century Portuguese and English aristocracy. Prominent British writers and poets, including Lord Byron, visited the gardens, which are mentioned in his poem Childe Harold's Pilgrimage.

The park and palace attract numerous visitors globally, who explore its winding paths, lakes, waterfalls, and over 3,000 species of exotic plants, including camellias, azaleas, rhododendrons, and Japanese bamboos.
