Segway Tour of Syracuse

We'll meet at your selected time at the parking lot by the port of Syracuse. Participants will familiarize themselves with the segways before touring the avenues and squares of this historic city.

Syracuse was the most important city in Sicily during Ancient Greek times. The tour will include visits to its Hellenistic remains, such as the city walls and the Temple of Apollo.

Following Corso Matteotti, we'll reach Archimedes Square, where we'll learn about this famous Greek engineer and mathematician.

Next, the tour will showcase the elegant fountain of Artemis, leading us to the Cathedral of Syracuse. Nearby, we will view the Benevento de Bosco Palace, an 18th-century baroque building, and the Town Hall. The Maniace Castle, a military fortress from the 13th century, is also on the itinerary.

Our journey will continue to the Lungomare di Levante, the seafront promenade, crossing the Umberto Bridge and reaching the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Tears.

We will visit the Regional Archaeological Museum, the Catacombs of St. John, and conclude with the theatre, amphitheatre, and the Ear of Dionysius, a limestone cave with notable history.

The segway tour will return to the meeting point three hours after departure.
