Segway Tour of Syracuse

We'll meet at your selected time at the parking lot by the port of Syracuse. Here we'll begin to familiarise ourselves with the segways before starting the tour of the city.

Syracuse was the most important city in Sicily during Ancient Greek times. We'll visit its Hellenistic remains, including the city walls and the Temple of Apollo, the first two sites on our segway tour of Syracuse.

We'll continue along Corso Matteotti to Archimedes Square, named after the famous Greek engineer and mathematician. We'll find out more during the tour.

After viewing the elegant fountain of Artemis, we'll head to the Cathedral of Syracuse, near which is the Benevento de Bosco Palace, an 18th-century baroque building, and the Town Hall. Our next stop will be the Maniace Castle, a 13th-century military fortress.

Our tour will then take us to the Lungomare di Levante, the seafront promenade, where we'll cross the Umberto Bridge and continue to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Tears.

We will also visit the Regional Archaeological Museum, the Catacombs of St. John, and conclude the tour with the theatre and amphitheatre, including the Ear of Dionysius, a limestone cave with rich history.

The segway tour will return to the meeting point three hours after departure.
