Enjoy a kayak tour around Lough Hyne, one of the few saltwater lakes in Ireland. You will see lush nature, dip into the deep blue waters, and sail on beautiful Castlehaven Bay.

Lough Hyne Kayak Tour

The tour begins at the main parking lot of Lough Hyne at the scheduled time. Participants will attend a short class to learn how to handle the kayaks and ensure safety during the activity.

Following the class, participants will practice and climb into the canoes to sail the waters of Lough Hyne, noted for being one of the most spectacular saltwater lakes in Northern Europe.

While exploring the natural surroundings of Lough Hyne, paddlers will continue until they cross the short channel called The Narrows, leading directly to the Celtic Sea.

The tour includes a visit to the bay of Castlehaven, with opportunities to see cliffs, castles, sea animals, and more. The kayaking experience lasts for three and a half hours, concluding back at the original starting point.
