Mývatn Thermal Baths

Located less than an hour's drive from Akureyri, Lake Mývatn showcases Iceland's geothermal landscapes. To utilize its warm waters, reservoirs were created for public use. The water temperature in the swimming pools is around 36-40 degrees, providing a pleasant experience in Iceland’s cold climate. The water is 100% natural due to volcanic minerals, eliminating the need for chlorine or chemicals and is said to offer therapeutic properties.

The spa also features saunas for those seeking additional warmth. With a ticket duration of three hours, you can enjoy the spa's facilities and the area's volcanic magic at your own pace.
