Cross-Country Skiing

Experience the world of the Sámi people with this cross-country skiing trip from Luosto in Pyhä-Luosto National Park, a significant area in Finnish Lapland.

Activity Details

Participants will meet at the Amethys store in Luosto at the selected time. The guide will provide a brief presentation on the basic techniques for cross-country skiing before starting the activity.

After gearing up with skis and poles, the group will explore the snowy landscapes of Pyhä-Luosto National Park. Throughout the journey, participants will experience a sense of peace and tranquility in the winter wilderness.

Cross-country skiing is an integral part of Finnish culture, often learned by children from an early age. There will be a stop at a campsite for a break to regain strength while enjoying a hot drink by a warm fire.

The activity lasts two and a half hours, concluding at the original meeting point.
