Tour Details

Meet at Vasil Levski Square in Sofia at 8:45 am. We will take a bus for a 2-hour journey to Plovdiv, the oldest inhabited city in Bulgaria.

Upon arrival, you will find numerous well-preserved ancient monuments. Chosen as the European Capital of Culture in 2019, Plovdiv boasts a unique wealth of history and architecture.

Explore the narrow cobbled streets of the picturesque old town, offering impressive views from the three hills.

Key highlight: the 2nd-century Roman amphitheatre, one of the largest structures in the Ancient Roman Empire. You will enter this incredible construction and learn about its history with our expert guide.

We will also visit the elegant Dzhumaya Mosque, featuring 9 domes and an interior fountain surrounded by four pillars. Enjoy free time afterward to try local food or shop at nearby stores.

We will return to the starting point between 5 and 5:30 pm.
