Plovdiv Full-Day Tour

Meeting point is near the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia at 8:45 am. The bus departs for a 2-hour journey to Plovdiv, the oldest inhabited city in Bulgaria.

Once in Plovdiv, explore ancient monuments well preserved. This city, chosen as the European Capital of Culture in 2019, offers a rich history and architecture.

Walk through the cobbled streets of the old town and enjoy views from the three hills. The main highlight is the 2nd-century Roman amphitheatre, one of the largest structures in the Ancient Roman Empire. You will enter this site and learn about its history from our expert guide.

Next, visit the Dzhumaya Mosque, featuring 9 domes and an interior fountain. Enjoy free time to try local food or shop at local stores.

After the tour, we return to the starting point between 5 and 5:30 pm.
