Meet near Vasil Levski Square in Sofia at 8:45 am to begin a 2-hour journey to Plovdiv, the oldest inhabited city in Bulgaria. Upon arrival, explore ancient monuments and architectural heritage, as Plovdiv was designated the European Capital of Culture in 2019.

Stroll through the scenic streets of the old town, gaining impressive views from the three adjacent hills. The main highlight is the 2nd-century roman amphitheatre, one of the largest structures of the Ancient Roman Empire. You will enter this site and receive historical insights from an expert guide.

Next, visit the Dzhumaya Mosque, notable for its 9 domes and an interior fountain surrounded by four pillars. Enjoy some free time to try local cuisine or shop in the area.

After an engaging day, we will return to the starting point between 5 and 5:30 pm.
