At the designated time, we'll meet at the Bryggjegota pier and set off on our boat trip to explore the Barsnesfjorden fjord and the Årøy River in Norway. The scenery of one of the most famous fishing spots in the country awaits us.

As we depart from Sogndal, we'll pass under the Loftesnes Bridge and reach the 5-kilometer-long (3-mile) Barsnesfjorden. The hills surrounding the fjord reflect in the clear waters.

While cruising, we'll pass by the village of Barsnes, known for traditional wooden houses. As we approach the Årøy River, we'll learn that this area has been famous for sport fishing since the 19th century.

The fast-flowing river is home to some of the largest salmon in the world, with a record weight of 34 kilos (75 pounds) caught in these waters. After an hour of exploring the area, we'll head back to Bryggjegota pier, where we started our adventure.
