At the designated time, we'll meet at the Bryggjegota pier and set off on our boat trip to explore the Barsnesfjorden fjord and the Årøy River in Norway. The remarkable scenery of one of the most famous fishing spots in the country awaits us.

As we depart from Sogndal, we will pass under the Loftesnes Bridge and reach the 5-kilometer-long (3-mile) Barsnesfjorden. The emerald hills surrounding the fjord reflect in the crystal-clear waters, creating a stunning view.

While cruising, we'll also pass by the village of Barsnes, known for its traditional wooden houses that offer great photo opportunities. As we approach the Årøy River, we’ll discover that this area has been famous for sport fishing since the 19th century.

The fast-flowing river is home to some of the largest salmon in the world, with a record weight of 34 kilos (75 pounds) caught in these waters. After an hour of exploring the area, we will head back to Bryggjegota pier, where we started our adventure.
