At the designated time, we'll meet at the Bryggjegota pier and set off on our boat trip to explore the Barsnesfjorden fjord and the Årøy River. The scenery of this famous fishing area awaits us.

As we depart from Sogndal, we'll pass under the Loftesnes Bridge and reach the 5-kilometer-long (3-mile) Barsnesfjorden. The surrounding emerald green hills reflect in the crystal-clear waters, creating a stunning view.

While cruising, we'll pass by the village of Barsnes, which features traditional wooden houses. As we approach the Årøy River, we'll learn about its historic significance for sport fishing since the 19th century.

The fast-flowing river is home to some of the largest salmon in the world, with record weights of 34 kilos (75 pounds) caught in these waters. After an hour of exploring, we'll head back to Bryggjegota pier, where our adventure began.
