If there's one unmissable place in the Riviera Maya it's Chichén Itzá. On this day trip, besides visiting the archaeological site, we'll get to see and bathe in the Chichi Kan cenote, a spectacular natural pool.

Description

Having picked you up at your hotel in Riviera Maya, we'll make a brief visit to an artisan shop before starting the trip.

First, we'll visit the most important remains of the Maya civilization—Chichén Itzá. In 1988, it was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site and in 2007 was named one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World.

We'll pass through the ancient city with a guide expert in the Maya world and learn about its history. We will visit the Chichén Itzá temples, including the Kukulcan Temple and the Temple of Warriors, decorated with images of war.

From here, we'll make our way to the Chichi Kan cenote, where we'll take a dip in the blue waters. Afterward, we'll have a buffet lunch at a local restaurant.

Once we've eaten, we'll visit the colonial city of Valladolid. Here, we'll enjoy a 25-minute scenic tour of the old town, seeing the church of San Servacio, the Municipal Palace, and the Municipal Market.

Finally, we'll return to Riviera Maya, dropping you off at your hotel or the meeting point 12 to 13 hours after initial pickup.
