We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Playa del Carmen at the agreed time and set off on a one-and-a-half-hour journey to Coba.

Before reaching our destination, we’ll stop at a small Mayan village nestled in the jungle. Here, you’ll learn about local traditions, customs, and the ancient art of Mayan pottery. You'll even get to make your own clay pieces!

Once we arrive in Coba, we’ll embark on a 1-hour-and-45-minute tour through the jungle, exploring the remarkable ruins of one of the largest Mayan cities of the classic period. You'll uncover fascinating stories about this mysterious pre-Columbian civilization as we wander through the site.

The tour will take us to Nohoch Mul, the tallest pyramid in the Yucatan.We'll admire it from the base, while learning about this incredible structure. We'll also pause for a quick snack before continuing our adventure.

Next, we’ll cool off with a refreshing swim in a sacred cenote, followed by collecting the ceramic pieces you crafted earlier. To round off the day, we’ll enjoy a delicious traditional Mayan dinner by the picturesque Coba lagoon.

After approximately 11 hours of exploring, we’ll return you to your hotel to conclude the excursion.

How it Works?

You will begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel at the scheduled time. The drive to Cobá takes about 90 minutes, during which you will have the opportunity to visit a local Mayan village. In this village, you will engage with local traditions and even create your own pottery.

Upon reaching Cobá, you will undergo a guided tour of the site that lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. This tour will take you through the major ruins, offering insights into the Mayan civilization. You will visit Nohoch Mul, where you will have the chance to learn about the tallest pyramid in the Yucatan from the ground level.

After exploring the ruins, you will enjoy a swim in a nearby sacred cenote, a refreshing way to relax before retrieving your handcrafted pottery. The day will conclude with a traditional Mayan dinner enjoyed by the beauty of the Coba lagoon.
