Explore the stunning Caribbean landscapes of Tulum, an ancient Mayan walled city included in this excursion, along with the breathtaking grottoes of the Rio Secreto.

Day Trip Details

Your day will start with a pickup from your hotel in Riviera Maya at 7 am as we head to the extraordinary Mayan archaeological site of Tulum, perched on a clifftop overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

At the base of “The Castle,” which is the most notable structure in Tulum, you'll witness the advanced Mayan expertise in architecture and astronomy. This ancient civilization made incredible predictions based on the stars. The Tulum astronomical observatory was utilized for celestial studies, and we will also visit the key temples in the vicinity, such as the Temple of the Frescoes, which features period paintings.

Following our visit to Tulum, we will venture to the natural grottoes of the Rio Secreto: an underground river that is not immediately visible, home to stalactites and stalagmites transformed by water into magnificent natural structures. With the guidance of an expert, you will don helmets and wetsuits to uncover the most hidden treasures of these caves.

The tour will conclude with a return to your hotels in Riviera Maya at approximately 4 pm.
