Discover the Caribbean landscapes of Tulum, an ancient Mayan walled city which we'll visit on this excursion that also includes the grottoes of the Rio Secreto.

Day Trip Details

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Riviera Maya at 7 am and head to the Mayan archaeological site of Tulum, located on a clifftop overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

At “The Castle,” the most imposing building in Tulum, we will appreciate Mayan advancements in architecture and astronomy. The Tulum astronomical observatory was utilized for star studies, and we will also visit important temples, including the Temple of the Frescoes, which features period paintings.

Next, we will proceed to the natural grottoes of the Rio Secreto: an underground river with stalactites and stalagmites, shaped into natural monuments by water. With an expert guide, you will wear helmets and wetsuits to explore hidden corners of these caves.

The tour returns to hotels in Riviera Maya at around 4 pm.
