Explore the Somiedo Natural Park and see the Cantabrian brown bear with this trip from Pola de Somiedo. Learn about this species and experience a day in the Asturian countryside.

Activity Details

We'll meet at the Interpretation Centre in the Natural Park of Somiedo. Participants must arrive by their own vehicle, and once assembled, we will follow the guide's car into the mountains, the natural habitat of the Cantabrian brown bear.

In the afternoon, we will explore Somiedo in search of this species, visiting optimal locations for sightings based on the day’s weather.

Using binoculars, you'll have the opportunity to observe Cantabrian brown bears, including adult bears with their cubs, as their population has increased significantly in recent decades.

During our route, there is a chance to see wild boars, deer, or chamois. We will return to Pola de Somiedo after a total duration of 5.5 hours.
