Cantabrian Brown Bear Sighting

Description

We'll meet at 4:30 pm at the Interpretation Centre in the Natural Park of Somiedo. Participants must arrive in their own cars, and after gathering, we will drive together following the guide to the mountain areas, the natural habitat of the Cantabrian brown bear.

Throughout the afternoon, we will explore Somiedo in search of this animal, visiting optimal locations for sightings based on the day's weather.

Using binoculars, participants will have the chance to spot Cantabrian brown bears. It is common to see adult bears with their cubs, as their population has increased in recent decades.

During the excursion, we may also spot wild boars, deer, or chamois. The day will conclude with a return to Pola de Somiedo.
