Cantabrian Brown Bear Sighting

Activity Details

We'll meet at the designated time at the Interpretation Centre in the Natural Park of Somiedo. Participants will need to arrive by their own vehicle, and we'll follow the guide's car into the mountains, the natural habitat of the Cantabrian brown bear.

In the afternoon, we'll explore Somiedo for wildlife, primarily searching for the Cantabrian brown bears. Our visits will be tailored to optimal locations for bear spotting based on the weather.

Using binoculars, you may see magnificent specimens of Cantabrian brown bears. This region often features sightings of adult bears with their cubs, as their population has significantly increased in recent decades.

Additionally, we may encounter wild boars, deer, or chamois along the route. We will return to Pola de Somiedo after a total of 5.5 hours.
