Explore the Somiedo Natural Park and see the Cantabrian brown bear with this trip from Pola de Somiedo. Learn about this species and spend a day in the Asturian countryside.

Description

We'll meet at 4:30 pm at the Interpretation Centre in the Natural Park of Somiedo. Participants must arrive in their own vehicles. Once assembled, we'll follow the guide's car into the mountains, the natural habitat of the Cantabrian brown bear.

Throughout the afternoon, we'll search Somiedo for this species, visiting optimal locations based on the day's weather.

Using binoculars, you'll have the chance to see Cantabrian brown bears, including adult bears with their cubs, as their population has tripled in recent decades.

Keep an eye out for other wildlife, such as wild boars, deer, or chamois. We'll conclude the day in Pola de Somiedo, marking the end of our experience.
