Meet us at Piazza Giovanni Battista de Curtis for our departure from Sorrento to Ancient Rome. We will board a train that takes us directly to Herculaneum, the Roman city devastated by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 BC. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour of the archaeological site of Herculaneum, a World Heritage Site designated by UNESCO.

During the tour, learn about the city's history and the daily life of its inhabitants as we observe the town that has been frozen in time. View mosaics, taverns, terrains, houses, and even skeletons. Herculaneum is known for its numerous frescoes of vivid colors, which have been remarkably preserved. We will enter the House of Neptune and Amphitrite, the House of the Deer, and the Headquarters of the Augustal Priests.

Following our visit, we will return to the train station for our trip back to Sorrento, concluding this 4-hour adventure.
