On this hiking route around the Pantálica Nature Reserve, we'll discover a site in southern Sicily that has been declared a World Heritage Site.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Pantálica Lato Sortino car park, and from there, we'll begin this hike around the Pantálica Nature Reserve.

We'll start within the nature reserve, located among the Calcinara and the Anapo Rivers. This area features deep gorges and significant archaeological sites dating back to the 13th century BC, recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Our route includes exploring the old excavated tombs in the rock and visiting the Grotta dei Pistrelli. Additionally, we'll take a dip in the fresh waters of the Calcinara River.

After swimming, we'll walk upstream through the water and pause on the shore for a break, where you can enjoy a small snack that you'll have brought with you.

After 4 hours together, we will conclude this hike around the Pantálica Nature Reserve, returning to the starting point.
