Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Pantálica Lato Sortino car park, and from there, we'll begin this hike around the Pantálica Nature Reserve.
The nature reserve is located among the Calcinara and the Anapo Rivers and features deep gorges along with important archaeological sites dating back to the 13th century BC. This location has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
We will walk along the old excavated tombs in the rock and explore the impressive Grotta dei Pistrelli. Additionally, we will dive into the fresh waters of the Calcinara River.
After swimming, we'll walk upstream through the water and then take a break on the shore. You will have time to enjoy a small snack that you have brought with you.
