On this hiking route around the Pantálica Nature Reserve, we'll discover a significant location in southern Sicily that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Pantálica Lato Sortino car park, where we'll start our hike around the Pantálica Nature Reserve.

The reserve is situated between the Calcinara and Anapo Rivers, noted for its deep gorges and archaeological sites from the 13th century BC. Pantálica is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

During our hike, we'll observe old excavated tombs in the rock and visit the impressive Grotta dei Pistrelli. Additionally, we'll have the opportunity to swim in the fresh waters of the Calcinara River.

After swimming, we'll walk upstream through the water and take a break on the shore to enjoy a small snack that you will need to bring.

After 4 hours, we'll conclude our hike back at the starting point.
