Gathering at the designated time near the Tourist Office and Cristos Museum, our guided tour of Sousel begins, exploring the highlights of this Alentejo village.

A short walk from the starting point is the Convent of Santo Antonio, a 17th-century monument reflecting the distinctive Alentejo architecture with its blue and white facade. Home to an iconic altar from that period, this convent begins our exploration.

Next, we will pass by the fifteenth-century church of Our Lady of Orada and the baroque-style church of Our Lady of Grace, constructed between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries.

We will pause to admire the neoclassical altar within the church of La Misericordia. This unique temple is linked to a hospital decorated with tiles, and we will uncover the intriguing reason behind their shared architecture.
