Trip Details

Day 1: El Djem – Matmata – Douz

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Sousse to begin our 2-day trip through Tunisia.

Our first stop will be the El Djem amphitheatre, also known as the Tunisian Coliseum. We'll explore its arena while learning about its history and gladiatorial fights.

The tour will continue to Matmata, where we'll visit the famous cave-houses, an ancient Amazigh settlement carved into the rock. In Matmata, we'll have approximately one hour of free time for lunch (not included).

Afterwards, we'll head towards the Douz desert, where you can marvel at the Sahara and have the opportunity to try a quad or camel ride (not included).

Then, we'll take you to a Douz hotel for dinner and rest until the next day.

Day 2: Douz – Chott Djerid – Oasis - Kairouan

In the morning, you'll have time for breakfast in a local cafe before heading to Chott El Djerid, a large salt lake known for mirages.

Next, we'll visit the Atlas mountain range and the oasis of Chebika and Tamerza. Our last stop will be the holy city of Kairouan, where we'll visit the Great Mosque to admire its exterior and learn about its significance in Islam.

The tour will end with your return to the hotel in Sousse.
