Follow in the footsteps of the pirates on this tour of Port Royal. We'll visit the fortress and discover the history of this ancient port city.

Description

At the indicated time we'll pick you up from your hotel in Kingston to begin a tour of one of the most famous sights in the Jamaican capital.

After approximately 30 minutes on the minibus, we’ll arrive at Port Royal, originally founded by the Spanish and once the biggest city in the Caribbean, until it was destroyed by an earthquake in 1692. During its peak, it served as a Royal Navy base under British rule. We'll learn about its secrets.

It is known for being a stronghold for pirates. Its strategic location between the maritime lines linking Spain and Panama made it attractive for looting. You’ll discover more stories about the notorious pirates as we explore the remnants of the city.

We'll visit the fort of Port Royal, dating back to the 17th century, and examine its numerous cannons. We'll also stop at the small museum at Fort Charles to learn more about the area's history.

For those interested in dining, we'll take you to Gloria's restaurant for a meal (not included), where your table will be reserved.

After the four-hour tour, we'll return you to your hotel.
