Located in the vibrant heart of St. Augustine, the Medieval Torture Museum showcases an extensive array of torturous, execution, and restraining devices. This is a haunting exhibition!

Your visit to the Medieval Torture Museum will transport you to the bleak era of the Middle Ages. The exhibits include over 100 artifacts used in torture practices. Have you come across the wheel or the bull of Phalaris before? You will be astonished as you discover the grim purposes of each of these instruments, enhanced by the audio guide provided in English.

Additionally, life-like wax figures depict both the victims and executioners, allowing visitors to gain insight into the grim history of executions and torture from medieval times. This experience is bound to leave a lasting impression.

The Medieval Torture Museum operates daily from 10 am to 10 pm. Keep in mind that these hours may vary and are subject to modification.

Children under 18

The museum is not advisable for young visitors. Guests under 18 years must be with an adult at all times. That said, children under 10 enjoy free admission as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult (1 adult per child).
