Description

The Medieval Torture Museum in downtown St. Augustine houses a large collection of torture, execution, and restraint devices. The exhibition includes more than 100 artifacts from the Middle Ages, including devices like the wheel and the bull of Phalaris, with an audio guide in English to explain their purposes. Accompanying the devices are realistic wax sculptures of victims and executioners that provide insight into the history of torture and executions.
