Why visit the Old Jail?
The Old Jail is one of St. Augustine's iconic sites, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Admission allows you to learn about prisoners' conditions in the late 19th century through actor performances portraying sheriffs and criminals of the time.
The Old Jail features stories about prisoners and the families of bailiffs who lived nearby. Restored in 1993, it emulates a Renaissance building, representing a unique historical structure.

The Old Jail is open during the following times:
Sunday to Thursday: 9 am to 4:30 pmFridays and Saturdays: 9 am to 5:30 pm
Dramatized tours occur every 20 minutes, daily.
