Why visit the Old Jail?
The Old Jail is one of St. Augustine's iconic sites and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Admission allows you to learn about prisoners' conditions in the late 19th century through performances by actors portraying sheriffs and criminals.
The Old Jail features stories about the prisoners and the families of the bailiffs. It was restored in 1993 to reflect an elegant Renaissance architectural style.
Hours
The Old Jail is open during the following times:
Sunday to Thursday: 9 am to 4:30 pmFridays and Saturdays: 9 am to 5:30 pm
The dramatized tours occur every 20 minutes, daily.
