Tour Overview
At the appointed hour, our meeting point will be a central spot in Stockholm, where we will embark on this complimentary walking tour of Gamla Stan, the city's old quarter.
During the journey, we will delve into the city’s Viking roots and chart its evolution into the capital of Sweden, all while passing by some of the city’s most significant landmarks.
We will pause at the Parliament or Riksdag to share insights into Swedish politics, followed by a visit to the Royal Palace, which is not only one of the largest palatial structures in Europe but also serves as the official residence of the Swedish monarch.
As we proceed with our free tour, a visit to the narrowest street in the city, Mårten Trotzigs Gränd, is a must. Here, we will explore its fascinating history from the 16th century, in addition to St Nicholas’s Cathedral, the oldest church in the capital.
This pleasant walk will also lead us past the Nobel Museum, where we will discuss one of the world's most illustrious awards, and Stortorget Square, known as Stockholm's oldest public square.
Our exploration will conclude in the vicinity of Stortorget, wrapping up around 2 to 2.5 hours after we commence.
