Shakespeare's Birthplace
The William Shakespeare house serves as a sanctuary for fans of the renowned writer. Located on Henley Street, it introduces visitors to his childhood and early marriage to Anne Hathaway. The 16th-century house features original wooden beams and lovely gardens that enhance the historical experience.
During the tour, guests will explore the rooms where Shakespeare created some of his most famous works and learn about his daily life. This location has been a pilgrimage site for notable writers, including Charles Dickens and John Keats.
“Famous Beyond Words” Exhibition
Since 2016, the house has hosted the "Famous Beyond Words" exhibition, showcasing Shakespeare's life and major works. Visitors can view first editions and a collection of art that belonged to Shakespeare. Additionally, a timeline featuring a family tree offers deeper insight into his history.
