Suances Surfing Class

At the time of your choice, we'll meet at the surf school in Miguel Delibes street in Suances. This centre in Cantabria has a runner-up in the European Surfing Championship and a bronze medal holder amongst its instructors.

The course will start with an explanation on how to handle the surfing equipment. Once we know how to use the board properly, we'll explore the natural characteristics of Suances, taking into account the beach condition, sea currents, and winds in this area of Cantabria.

Next, we'll go over safety measures and have a brief warm-up at the La Concha de Suances beach, located next to Punta de Marzán, at the mouth of the San Martín de la Arena estuary.

After warming up, we'll begin surfing. Although it may seem complicated at first, you'll gain confidence on the board. This area of the Bay of Biscay, in La Concha cove, has conditions suitable for learning to surf. Depending on sea conditions, we can also surf at the nearby Playa de Los Locos.

The 2-hour experience will conclude by returning to the starting point.
