Yampara Community Day Trip

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Sucre and set off on our 1-hour 30-minute road trip.

On this day trip, we'll visit a Yampara community. The Yampara are one of the most ancient Indigenous Peoples in South America. We will learn about their customs, rooted in hundreds of years of tradition, and how they maintain Bolivian cultural values today.

We'll view typical adobe houses and meet locals to learn about their way of life and traditions. Additionally, we will hear legends and stories about this community.

We will also visit a chichería, a typical bar in these communities, and observe some of the handicrafts made by the Yampara, including various woven textiles. During our visit, we'll see women creating colorful fabrics and learn about their use of plant-based products for natural medicines.

At 2 pm, we'll conclude our visit to the Yampara community and return to Sucre, dropping you off at your hotel.
