Yampara Community Day Trip

Experience Bolivia's traditions and customs first-hand and learn about an ancient civilization from the Oronta area on our day trip from Sucre to visit a Yampara community.

Yampara Community Day Trip

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Sucre and set off on our 1-hour 30-minute road trip.

On this trip, we'll visit a Yampara community, one of the most ancient Indigenous Peoples in South America. We'll learn about their customs and how they preserve Bolivian cultural values.

We'll see the typical adobe houses and meet locals to learn about their way of life and traditions. The visit will include fascinating legends and stories about this area.

We will also visit a chichería, typical bars in these communities. Additionally, we will observe and understand the handicrafts made by the Yampara, particularly their woven textiles. During our visit, we will watch how women create their colorful fabrics and learn about plant-based products used to make natural medicines.

We will conclude the visit and return to Sucre, dropping you off at your hotel at 2 pm.
