Discover the customs and traditions of the Yampara Indigenous community on our 2-day trip to Yamparáez. We'll leave Sucre behind and live with a welcoming Quechua family.

Yamparáez 2-Day Trip

Day 1

At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Sucre and take you to the village of Yamparáez. After a 1-hour journey, we'll arrive in this Bolivian town primarily populated by individuals of Quechua origin. The community retains its deep-rooted customs.

In Yamparáez, we'll learn about agricultural practices and the production of handmade textiles. Daysi will welcome us and share her family's daily routine.

We will assist in preparing a typical lunch, which will include a starter, main course, and a drink. Following lunch, we'll walk through the surrounding hills before returning to the village for dinner and an overnight stay in Daysi's home.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will spend the morning exploring significant community traditions, including textile arts and music. Residents of Yamparáez play instruments crafted from reeds and natural elements, which we will enjoy before having lunch and returning to Sucre. You'll be dropped off at your hotel around 3:30 pm.
