Lake Suesca Horse Riding Tour

At 9 am, we'll meet at the Sisga dam in Chocontá. From there, we'll start a horseback ride to Lake Suesca. Before we start, we'll explain the activity and basic safety rules. Once ready, we'll embark on a 35-kilometre (21 miles) ride through the Sisga River valley, passing potato fields.

We'll arrive at a quiet spot by the lake for a picnic lunch. After a short rest, we'll take a different route back, skirting Lake Suesca until we reach the old northern railway station, which was active until the mid-20th century and sits at over 3100 meters (10,170 feet) altitude.

We'll begin our descent through the Lechuza Canyon, near Suesca, and stop at a cozy hostel for a coffee or snack before concluding the activity. We'll finish the excursion at the meeting point at 5 pm.
