Lake Suesca Horse Riding Tour

At 9 am, we'll meet at the Sisga dam in Chocontá, where we'll start our horseback ride to Lake Suesca. Before setting off, we will explain the activity overview and basic safety rules. We'll embark on a 35-kilometre (21 miles) journey through the Sisga River valley, crossing local potato fields.

We'll reach a peaceful location by the lake for a picnic lunch. After resting, we'll take a different route back, skirting around Lake Suesca until we reach the old northern railway station, which was operational until the mid-20th century and sits at over 3100 metres (10,170 feet) altitude.

We will then descend through Lechuza Canyon, close to Suesca, and stop at a hostel for coffee or a snack before concluding our activity.

The excursion ends at the meeting point at 5 pm.
