Take a tour through the magical desert of Sonora along the Apache Trail, the historic stagecoach route stemming from an ancient Indian pathway. You will visit the ghost towns of Goldfield and Tortilla Flat, learning about the legend of treasure hidden in the Superstition Mountains.

Apache Trail Tour

The tour begins with a pickup from the meeting point in Phoenix, followed by a journey along the Apache Trail. The first stop is at the Superstition Mountains, where you will learn about the legend of hidden treasure in the area.

The route historically guided Native Americans and served as a stagecoach track. Next, you will visit the ghost town of Goldfield, preserved as it was over a century ago, where you can try panning for your own gold using traditional methods.

The tour continues to Canyon Lake, where you will board the Dolly Steamboat. This vessel will cruise for 6 miles along the lake, providing opportunities to observe bighorn sheep, bald eagles, and other desert wildlife.

The adventure concludes with a visit to Tortilla Flat, the last remaining stagecoach stop on the Apache Trail, which maintains its original architecture and traditions. The tour will then return to Phoenix, marking its end.
