This 9 km (5.5 miles) hike is suited for those who prefer an intermediate level of difficulty. The route begins in the center of Sutatausa with a visit to the church of San Juan Bautista, dating back to the 17th century, discussing its significance as a meeting point between the Muisca indigenous people and the Spanish colonisers.
Participants will then proceed to the surrounding mountains on the Camino Real. A two-hour lunch break is included before returning to the starting point.
