Vatnajökull Glacier & Blue Ice Cave Hike

At the designated time, we'll meet at Glacier Adventure Base Camp, hop in a jeep and head to the Vatnajökull glacier in the Skaftafell National Park.

After a 30-minute drive, we'll come face to face with this glacier. We'll get kitted out with helmets, harnesses, ice axes and crampons and set off on a hike on Vatnajökull, one of Europe's largest glaciers.

This activity will include walking on uneven terrain and observing unusual rock formations and the moulins that contribute to the glacier's dynamic state.

After 45 to 90 minutes, depending on our pace, we'll reach the Blue Ice Cave located under the glacier. Due to the lack of air, it has acquired an intense blue color.

We'll explore the interior of this cave, one of the natural wonders of Iceland, and unveil its hidden features.

It'll then be time to return to the meeting point in our jeeps, where we expect to arrive after a total of 5-6 hours.
