Vatnajökull Glacier Hike

Upon booking, you can opt for the 3 hour or 5 hour route:

3 hour route

We meet in Skaftafell, where our guide provides safety equipment, including helmets, harnesses, ice axes, and crampons. After equipping, we take a bus to the Vatnajökull glacier area. You will experience the beauty of this glacier within the largest national park in Europe. The hike lasts around 60 to 90 minutes, allowing you to explore glacier formations like cracks, vertical wells, and ice tunnels (winter only). Afterward, we return to our starting point, concluding this unique experience.

5 hour route

This itinerary mirrors the 3-hour route but allows for more trekking time, suitable for those seeking a more intense experience.

Important Information

This is a medium difficulty hike lasting approximately one hour over uneven terrain. It is not recommended for individuals with heart problems.In winter, warm clothing and appropriate footwear for snow and ice are required. In summer, a rain jacket is advisable. We provide the necessary technical equipment (helmet, crampons, and torch).
