Vatnajökull Glacier Snowmobile Tour

Looking for a unique experience in Iceland? On this snowmobile tour of Vatnajökull, we'll drive over Iceland's largest and Europe's second-largest glacier.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the base camp located 46 km (28 miles) from Höfn to start this snowmobile ride around the Vatnajökull glacier. After a brief safety talk, we'll board the vehicle and explore the snowy landscape of Vatnajökull. Enjoy the thrill of driving on top of the largest glacier in Iceland!

During the route, we'll make stops to admire the views of the glacier and the surrounding snow and ice. If weather permits, you may see the tallest peaks in the east and south of Iceland. Along with the excitement of driving a snowmobile, we'll share various stories and facts about the glacier, including its average thickness of 400 metres (1310 feet) and its mass, the largest in Europe.

Three hours later, we'll conclude our adventure at the initial meeting point. We hope to see you again!

Requirements

You'll ride on a double snow bike, and the combined weight of both passengers must not surpass 180 kg (397 lbs).You must have a valid driving license, equivalent to European Type B.You must be in good physical condition to participate.Children aged 6-12 will ride as passengers and must always be accompanied by an adult.
