Looking for a unique experience in Iceland? On this snowmobile tour of Vatnajökull, we'll drive over Iceland's largest and Europe's second-largest glacier.

Description

At the time indicated, we'll meet at base camp located 46 km (28 miles) from Höfn to start this snowmobile ride around the Vatnajökull glacier. A brief safety talk will precede the adventure.

Participants will explore the snowy landscape of Vatnajökull. Stops will be made along the route to enjoy views of the glacier and surrounding areas. Sightings may include the tallest peaks in the east and south of Iceland.

Along with the excitement of driving a snowmobile, we will share stories and facts about the glacier, including its average thickness of 400 metres (1310 feet) and its mass, which is the largest in Europe.

Three hours later, we'll conclude at the initial meeting point.

Requirements

Participants will use a double snow bike, with a combined weight limit of 180 kg (397 lbs).A valid driving license equivalent to European Type B is required.Participants must be in good physical condition.Children aged 6-12 will ride as passengers and must be accompanied by an adult.
