4x4 Glacier Tour

At the designated time, we will meet at base camp approximately 46 km (28 miles) from Höfn, where we will begin our 4x4 tour of the Vatnajökull and Skalafellsjökull glaciers.

Once everyone is settled, we will start our route through the mountains. Along the way, we will admire some of the highest points in Iceland while ascending Skalafellsjökull and Vatnajökull, Europe’s largest glacier.

We will travel up the Vatnajökull glacier, reaching an elevation of 1000 meters (3,280 feet) above sea level. The tour includes a stop for photos.

Additionally, the guide will share numerous facts about the glaciers and their ice fields, emphasizing their environmental impact.

After 3 hours, we will return to the meeting point to conclude the 4x4 tour.
