Mondesa Guided Tour
The guide will pick you up from your hotel in Swakopmund at the arranged time and begin the tour of the Mondesa neighbourhood. This tour will cover the history of the inhabitants of this suburb and the influence of the apartheid regime.
Mondesa was designated for black citizens during the apartheid regime, with white affluent residents dominating the city. Although the racial segregation system was abolished in 1991, traces of Mondesa's history remain evident today.
During the tour, you will explore the streets of Mondesa, meet locals, and discover local delicacies. You may be offered artisan beers and typical dishes, including mopane worms, a local specialty. Traditional snacks will be provided for you to fully engage with the culture.
