Balinese Wedding Ceremony
After being picked up from your hotel at 2 pm, you'll be taken to Kemenuh, near Ubud, for the wedding. The ceremony begins with a purification ceremony, where the bride and groom will be cleansed with water from sacred springs to remove negative energies before the union.
The ceremony takes place in a typical Balinese house, with a welcome of tea and coffee. You will be dressed in traditional wedding clothes known as Payas Agung.
A Balinese priest will conduct the wedding rites, attended by guests in traditional dress. After several symbolic rituals and offerings, the couple will cut a thread symbolizing the transition from single to married life.
The ceremony concludes with a procession to a family temple, where you may pray according to your beliefs. You will then enjoy a romantic meal featuring chicken, vegetables, and rice, along with a bottle of local wine.
Throughout the day, a photographer will document the event, providing an album, and typical Balinese musicians will play traditional songs.
Expect to be dropped off back at your hotel around 9 pm.
