Traditional dance, rice terraces, jungle scenery, temples - experience the daily life of Bali and its culture on this private guided tour.
Description
Starting with a hotel pickup at 8:30 am, this cultural road trip takes you from Batubulan to Kintamani, exploring various aspects of Balinese life.
Your first stop is the village of Batubulan, where you will watch a performance of Barong and Kris, a traditional dance-drama illustrating a 12th-century tale of good versus evil, showcasing Balinese spirituality and creativity.
Next, visit a typical home in Singapadu, then proceed to Bedulu to tour Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave), a 9th-century temple significant for its Hindu and Buddhist symbolism.
As you travel, enjoy the island's tropical scenery, especially the sloping rice terraces in Tegalalang, featuring a sustainable water management system established in the 9th century.
In Sebatu, visit Pura Tirta Empul, a water temple beside a holy spring, where Balinese Hindus bathe for ritual purification, believing in the waters' healing properties.
Finally, drive through coffee and mandarin orange plantations to reach Kintamani, located over 4,500 ft (1,400 m) above sea level. Here, enjoy panoramic views of Mount Batur, an active volcano, and Lake Batur in its caldera.
After a full day, you will be dropped off at your hotel around 5:30 pm. It is recommended to stay in the Ubud area to minimize travel time.
