Arica Day Trip
At 8 am we'll pick you up from your hotel in Tacna and travel to Arica by bus. After a two-hour journey, we'll take a guided walking tour of the Chilean port city, known for its surfing beaches.
Our first stop will be the San Marcos Cathedral, designed by French architect Gustave Eiffel in 1876. The guide will share details about its prefabrication in Paris and shipment to Chile.
Next, we will visit the House of Culture and the Casa Bolognesi, connected to the Pacific War.
We will continue past significant landmarks, including the 21st May promenade, where you will have half an hour for lunch and exploration.
Afterwards, we will visit the heights of Morro de Arica for stunning views of the city and coastline, along with learning about the Christ of Peace and the Arms Museum.
We will proceed to see some of Arica's beaches, including Lizera, Laucho, and Chinchorro, where you will have an hour for sunbathing or swimming.
Finally, we will return to Tacna, arriving at your hotel around 4:30 pm.
