Arica Day Trip
At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Tacna for a bus trip to Arica. The journey lasts two hours, after which we will have a guided walking tour of the Chilean port city, recognized for its popular surfing beaches.
Our first stop will be the San Marcos Cathedral, designed in metal and wood in 1876 by French architect Gustave Eiffel, who also designed the Eiffel Tower. The guide will provide insights about its prefabrication in Paris and shipment to Chile.
Next, we'll visit the House of Culture and Casa Bolognesi, both significant sites related to the Pacific War.
We will continue to the 21st May promenade, where you'll have half an hour of free time for lunch and exploration.
Following this, we'll travel to the heights of Morro de Arica, where we'll enjoy views of the city and coastline, and learn about the Christ of Peace and the Arms Museum.
Afterward, we'll visit some of Arica's beaches, such as Lizera, Laucho and Chinchorro, where you'll have an hour for sunbathing or swimming.
Finally, we'll return to Tacna, arriving at your hotel by around 4:30 pm.
