Arica Day Trip

At 8 am we'll pick you up from your hotel in Tacna and travel to Arica by bus. After a two-hour journey, we'll embark on a guided walking tour of the Chilean port city, noted for its excellent surfing beaches.

Our first stop will be the San Marcos Cathedral, designed in metal and wood in 1876 by the French architect Gustave Eiffel. The expert guide will share details about this prefabricated structure that was shipped from Paris to Chile.

Next, we'll visit the House of Culture and the Casa Bolognesi, both significant historical buildings connected to the Pacific War.

We'll pass key landmarks including the 21st May promenade. You will have half an hour of free time for lunch and exploration along this symbolic street.

Afterwards, the bus will take us to the heights of Morro de Arica, where you'll enjoy views of the city and the coastline while learning about the Christ of Peace and the Arms Museum.

Then, we'll visit some of Arica's beaches, such as Lizera, Laucho, and Chinchorro, where you will have an hour for sunbathing or swimming.

Finally, we'll return to Tacna, arriving at your hotel around 4:30 pm.
