If you're traveling to Taipei and need to reach the city center from the airport, use the Taoyuan Airport MRT for a comfortable and quick journey. Depending on the line, the trip lasts between 40 and 55 minutes.

Train Services Overview

When booking, you can select either a one-way ticket from the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport or a round-trip ticket. You may also choose the Express Route, which goes directly to Taipei's main station, or the Suburban Train Route, which stops in Taoyuan, New Taipei City, and Taipei City.

This ticket is valid only for non-Taiwanese citizens. On the day of your metro trip, redeem the voucher at the designated ticket desks at the Taoyuan Airport MRT to receive coins for accessing the metro. The magnetic coin must be validated within a month and lost coins cannot be reissued.

Schedule and Frequency

The Taoyuan Airport MRT has two routes:

Express Route: operates daily from 5:57 am to 9:55 pm, every 30 minutes; journey time is 36 to 40 minutes.Suburban Train Route: operates daily from 6:04 am to 11:37 pm, every 15 minutes; journey time is 50 to 55 minutes.
