Description
At the designated time, we'll meet at Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station to leave Taipei and begin this tea tour through Pinglin and Maokong. This journey will reveal the many stages of tea production, from seed to cup.
The adventure begins with a sightseeing trip on the Maokong Gondola, offering views of southern Taipei. Afterward, we'll take a gentle walk along one of Maokong's scenic paths surrounded by tea gardens.
Next, we will visit a tea production center to explore the main features of Tieguanyin and Baozhong teas.
A break will follow at one of the teahouses in Maokong, where you can sample the local cuisine and enjoy views of the Taipei Basin.
The tour continues to the Pinglin District, featuring the Thousand-Island Lake and the Bagua Tea Garden.
Finally, we will visit the Pinglin Tea Museum to learn about the history and evolution of Taiwanese tea, concluding with a visit to a local tea shop to discuss the preparation and tasting of Taiwanese tea.
