Join us on a tour from Puerto Maldonado to explore the biodiversity of Tres Chimbadas Lake. You can choose to experience this area of the Peruvian Amazon for 2, 3, or 4 days.

2, 3 or 4-Day Tres Chimbadas Lake Tour

Day 1

We will provide pickup at either the airport or your accommodation in Puerto Maldonado and proceed to the Ese Eja de Infierno indigenous community along the Tambopata River. Here, we will learn about their way of life and sustainable practices. Next, we'll take a boat to Tres Chimbadas Lake, observing wildlife including alligators, turtles, and capybaras.

Upon arriving at the lodge, we will hike through the rainforest to see monkeys, squirrels, and birds. After lunch, we will enjoy a paddle boat ride on the lake, watching various bird species. The day concludes with dinner and a night walk to observe local amphibians, insects, and reptiles.

Day 2

The day will start with an early morning visit to a natural viewpoint for a sunrise over Tres Chimbadas Lake, followed by breakfast at the lodge. We will then take a boat ride back to Puerto Maldonado, concluding the tour.

3 or 4-day tour

On the 3-day tour, the second day includes an ethnobotanical walk and local fishing practices, with opportunities to catch piranhas, followed by a night canoe ride. For the 4-day tour, on day three we will visit La Torre clay lick to view macaws and visit a farm for insights on local agriculture, finishing the day with a dinner at the lodge.
